The one up to the dinosaur footprints is a short but interesting hike to Morija, a town in Lesotho a few kilometers from its capital, Maseru.

The itinerary starts from the picturesque Morija Guest House, which we also use as our overnight base. The route is well-marked with red arrows and initially takes us through a beautiful mimosa forest until we reach a small lake, which we follow along one side. Here, we encounter some sheep and donkeys peacefully grazing. We continue following the signs and tackle a steeper uphill section that quickly gains elevation. Upon reaching the summit, the view opens up towards the valley, offering a splendid panorama. We continue for a short stretch until we reach a large boulder where the footprints of the Lesothosaurus, a small herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the Lower Jurassic period in South Africa and Lesotho. are clearly visible.

The return takes place along the same itinerary followed on the outward journey.
